MEASURING INSTRUCTIONS FOR ARBORWOOD BLINDS

INSIDE MOUNT

When to use Inside Mount:

– When a ‘cleaner’ look of the window is preferred.

– When there is nothing obstructing the operation of the blind.

– When there is enough depth for mounting.

– When the window casing doesn’t allow for easy mounting.

Note:  the brackets are 2 ½ inch and can be mounted 3 different ways: face mount, ceiling mount and side mount. To mount the blind with the valance flush with the front, 3½ inch of depth is required.

Width: Measure the Inside Width at the top, middle and bottom of the window. Record the shortest measurement to the nearest 1/8 of an inch.

Height: Measure the Inside height of the window at the left, middle and right. Record the shortest measurement to the nearest 1/8 of an inch.

OUTSIDE MOUNT

When to use Outside Mount:

-There is not enough depth to mount inside.

-Obstructions like handles or cranks will interfere with the blind.

-If an unobstructed view is preferred when the blind is raise.

-When inside mount will prevent the window from opening.

Note: for outside mounts, order your blinds with valance returns. (Leave in comments while checking out.)

Outside Mount on the Window Frame with Protruding Windowsill:

Width: Measure the outside width at the top of the window frame up to the nearest eighth of an inch.

Height: Measure the Outside Length/height at the left, middle and right. Record the shortest measurement to the nearest 1/8 of an inch.

Outside Mount on the Window Frame without Window Sill:

Width: Measure the outside width at the top of the window frame up to the nearest eighth of an inch.

Height: Measure from the top of the frame down to the bottom of the frame on the left, middle and right. Record the longest measurement up to the nearest eighth of an inch.

Outside Mount on the Wall above the Window Frame:

Width: Measure the outside width of the window frame at the top up to the nearest eighth of an inch. If your window frame protrudes from the wall by more than ½”, order your blinds with spacer blocks to place behind the brackets (mention this in the comment section for each blind that requires this).

Height: Mark on the wall where you wish to mount the blind above the window frame (A). Also mark on the wall to where you wish the blind to hang when fully lowered (B). Measure from A to B up to the nearest eighth of an inch.
